Riot Games is reportedly working on a new game based on League of Legends, which may launch on both PC and mobile. The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) is urging Congress to study the impact of violent video games on Filipino youth following the recent school shooting in Tacloban City. During a press conference, DILG Secretary Jonvic Remulla said games that depict extreme violence, such as Gorebox, should be reviewed and potentially banned. Nintendo has announced a new Nintendo Direct presentation that will showcase upcoming games for the Nintendo Switch 2. Nintendo is also expected to share updates on previously announced games such as Star Fox, Rhythm Heaven Groove, Splatoon Raiders and Fire Emblem Shadows. There are also new games such as Gundam Rogue Orbit, Crossfire and gen Atlas from the creators of Shadow of the Colossus. Along with a special 25th anniversary Xbox console, Microsoft unveiled a wave of new games, hardware and updates during the Xbox Games Showcase 2026. Among the biggest reveals was Persona 6, a Japanese Role-Playing Games (JRPG).
