Samsung's Health Monitor app has been cleared by South Korea's Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) as a Software as a Medical Device (SaMD). What this means, is that the Samsung Health Monitor paired with the sensors on the Galaxy Watch Active2 is now considered as an official over-the-counter and cuffless blood pressure monitoring tool. The Samsung Health Monitor app will be available on the Galaxy Watch Active2 in the third quarter and will support upcoming Galaxy Watch devices. Google has announced that the Fitbit app will soon become the new Google Health app, a platform that combines health, fitness, sleep, and wellness data into one place. The Google Health app will keep many Fitbit features while adding new tools and a redesigned layout. The app will now have four main tabs: Today, Fitness, Sleep, and Health. The app will also work with the new Google Health Coach powered by Gemini. LCD monitors from Samsung are getting better and better.
