Samsung has just announced its latest addition to its NX family of Smart mirrorless cameras - the NX2000. The Samsung NX2000 sports a 20.3 megapixel APS-C CMOS Sensor boosted by the DRIMe IV engine for lesser noise, improved speed, and better color reproduction, 3.7-inch WVGA full touchscreen display, WiFi and NFC. It also features 8fps burst shooting, 1/4000th second shutter speed, Full-HD video recording at 30fps, and support for 3D still image and video capture if coupled with Samsung’s 45mm 2D/3D lens. The much awaited Omnia i900 from Samsung (see specs here) was released in the Philippines yesterday. While everybody is getting frustrated with the supposed Globe iPhone 3G pricing, the Samsung Omnia will definitely be a formidable alternative to the former. The rumored new Samsung i8510 that tows in an 8-megapixel camera and a 16GB internal storage becomes official. This new Samsung i8510 phone will be named Innovate or Innov8. I reckon that the Samsung i8510 is positioned against the Nokia N95 while the Omnia is targetted as an iPhone alternative.
