Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy S9, and the Korean juggernaut brings in something different to the table with each year's release. From positioning the S series as an iPhone alternative in 2009, Samsung has learned to create things out of the box, which is seen with the S series flagship today. Here's a quick summary of how Samsung started this line of devices, illustrated in an infographic: The Korean company is set to celebrate the tenth year of the Galaxy S series next year, and we're really looking forward to seeing what's next. The much awaited Omnia i900 from Samsung (see specs here) was released in the Philippines yesterday. While everybody is getting frustrated with the supposed Globe iPhone 3G pricing, the Samsung Omnia will definitely be a formidable alternative to the former. The rumored new Samsung i8510 that tows in an 8-megapixel camera and a 16GB internal storage becomes official. This new Samsung i8510 phone will be named Innovate or Innov8. I reckon that the Samsung i8510 is positioned against the Nokia N95 while the Omnia is targetted as an iPhone alternative.
