So aside from the LTE model of the Galaxy S2, Samsung also announced three new Bada OS smartphones -- the Samsung Wave 3, Wave M and Wave Y with the Wave 3 definitely being the flagship Bada handset. Despite its success with Android and the Galaxy line, Samsung is not quitting its home-brewed Bada OS. These new line-up of Samsung Wave handsets certainly will attest to that. The Wave M and Wave Y comes with slower processors (~800MHz) and smaller screen real estate (3.65" for M and 3.2" for Y). These handsets will also come with Samsung ChatON pre-installed, a mobile communication/messaging service that will allow smartphones (and even feature phones) from all major platforms (iOS, Android, Symbian) to communicate with each other for free. The much awaited Omnia i900 from Samsung (see specs here) was released in the Philippines yesterday. While everybody is getting frustrated with the supposed Globe iPhone 3G pricing, the Samsung Omnia will definitely be a formidable alternative to the former. The rumored new Samsung i8510 that tows in an 8-megapixel camera and a 16GB internal storage becomes official.
