SKY Fiber has recently introduced a postpaid back-up broadband service to non-SKY subscribers, the SKY Fiber AlterNet. Ideal for distance learning and productivity, customers of SKY Fiber AlterNet may get a modem and unlimited internet access with a base speed of 1.5 Mbps. Previously, SKY launched the Fiber AlterNet plans for its existing SKY subscribers. To make things easier, we’ve put together a comprehensive comparison of the postpaid fiber internet plans offered by the major telco companies in the Philippines — namely PLDT, Globe, Sky, and Converge. Weirdly enough, SKY’s TruFiber plans’ speed boosts aren’t anything special because they’re not actually faster than the competition. SKY has two main lineups under its TruFiber service, starting at Plan 999 with 75 Mbps — which actually sounds better than PLDT’s Unli Fiber Plan 899 that offers only 35 Mbps.
