Sony has recently announced the Digital Paper, a 13.3-inch productivity slate that features an electronic paper display that reads PDF and lets you scribble on it using its bundled stylus. The Sony Digital Paper isn't exactly designed for the ordinary consumer and is aimed at lawyers, governmental agencies, policymakers and legislators, professors and researchers in higher education, and globe-trotting executives who deal with vast amounts of PDF files.

Digital Paper offers a simple, intuitive experience and gives professionals portability and flexibility coupled with the ability to wirelessly access document management solutions and other content repositories." The Sony Digital Paper is scheduled for release in the US in May with an SRP of $1,100.
