Sony Xperia Nougat Update

We've learned of Sony's devices being updated to the latest Android Nougat system, but one question remained -- When will they roll out? The Flagship Xperia XZ will get the update first next month, followed by the Xperia X and X Performance in November. Lastly, the XA and XA Ultra users will be the last to be seeded with the Nougat update, with the time frame being slated for Q1 2017. Sony’s Xperia 1 VIII has surfaced in an eSIM database, hinting that the next-generation flagship is already in testing. Despite Sony’s quieter smartphone strategy in recent years, the Xperia 1 VIII seems ready to continue the brand’s legacy of creator-focused, camera-first Android flagships. While details on design and cameras remain scarce, Sony is expected to debut the Xperia 1 VIII in mid-2026, roughly following the Xperia 1 VII’s June release schedule. Sony has officially unveiled the Xperia 10 VII, a mid-range smartphone that brings notable upgrades over its predecessor while sticking to Sony’s signature compact form factor. In an email by Sony Ericsson today, the new Sony Ericsson XPeria X1 phone will be coming out to the public tomorrow in stores but people who made early reservations are supposed to get their own units today.
