Valve has confirmed its next wave of gaming hardware, announcing a new Steam Machine, a new Steam Controller, and a new virtual reality headset called Steam Frame. The next-gen Steam Machine brings back Valve’s small gaming PC, which was first released 10 years ago. The company did not give full specs yet but confirmed that it will support modern PC games through Steam. Alongside the device is the new Steam Controller, built for players who prefer a custom layout over a regular gamepad. Valve says this controller is designed to work smoothly with the updated Steam Machine and with PC setups. The last major reveal is Steam Frame, Valve’s new VR headset. Unlike the Valve Index, Steam Frame does not need a PC connection to work. Valve also clarified that a Steam Deck 2 is not coming yet, saying the timing is not right for a new handheld.
