A new ride-hailing app in the Philippines, Tara, has just been announced. Its founder Erwin Dee took to Facebook to share his goal in creating Tara to fill the gap that is making its fare sustainable for both riders and drivers. According to the post, Tara's booking fare is cheaper and in accordance with the LTFRB's fare matrix with strictly no surcharges. Tara is also said to impose 0% commission on its drivers which means that 100% of the fare goes to the driver. How Tara will work for users is through its subscription-based model with its Basic plan priced at PHP 30 which enables them to avail of 3 tokens enabling them to complete 3 bookings.
