TikTok owner ByteDance silently launches Whee, which is their own version of a photo-sharing media platform similar to Instagram. Whee is seen as a platform for sharing photos with your close friends. According to their app description on Google Play, Whee is used to “capture and share real-life photos that only your friends see, allowing you to be your most authentic self”. The app is currently available for iOS and Android users, standing at #53 in the social networking category for the former.
