Microsoft has started rolling out a new “Xbox mode” for Windows 11 PCs, bringing a console-like gaming experience to laptops, desktops, and handheld devices. The experience is built for flexibility, keeping the openness of Windows while adding a more streamlined, console-inspired layout. Originally tested under the “full screen experience” name on handheld devices, Xbox mode has now expanded to select Windows 11 PCs in limited markets, with wider availability rolling out in the coming weeks. To access it, users need to enable the latest Windows updates via Settings > Windows Update and opt in for early updates. Microsoft has quietly introduced a new internet speed test feature in Windows 11, giving users a quicker way to check their connection directly from the taskbar.   The feature, which began appearing in recent updates for Windows 11 versions 24H2 and 25H2, adds a “Perform speed test” option in the network menu. While the addition improves accessibility, it stops short of being a fully native Windows feature. Microsoft previously offered a dedicated Network Speed Test app in earlier versions of Windows, which provided deeper insights and tracking capabilities.
