A user on Weibo, a Chinese website, has shared some official leaked images of the Xiaomi Redmi 5. The Chinese smartphone maker might be looking to launch the successor to last year's popular Redmi 4. The Redmi 5 will run Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box under MIUI 9.0. Xiaomi has officially launched the Redmi Pad 2 Pro series in the Philippines, consisting of the standard Wi-Fi model and a 5G variant. Both devices are set to be available starting November 7 through Xiaomi’s official Shopee and Lazada stores, as well as authorized Xiaomi retailers nationwide. The Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G variant offers enhanced connectivity via a SIM and eSIM slot, and an upgraded 13MP main camera, while the Wi-Fi-only model comes with an 8MP camera. Xiaomi has officially introduced the Redmi Watch 6 in China, a sleek new smartwatch featuring a bigger AMOLED display, improved connectivity through HyperOS 3, and up to 24 days of battery life.
