sa mga gustong bumili ng Globe Broadband Tattoo masasayang lang ang pera nyo, sobrang bagal… im here in metro sun is so goooooooooooooooooooooood ang bilis then kahit yung prepaid mu ginamit mu, tapos disconnect ganun pa rin yung load mu, hindi agad nabababawasan unlike smart and globe, at saka ang mura na load meron pang 50 for 6 hours, maganda na mura pa ang load, kaya wag nang magpatumpik tumpik pa, nakakasiguro ka sa sun broadband pag andito ka sa metro. bili na kayo ng sun broadband nyo…..

@GreenGem:

Snooty issuer. Hmmn. I usually give those scum a good tongue lashing. I had three last week:

1. over made-up bantay of the SM Record Bar. maputi ang mukha, brown ang leeg.
2. over-jelled hair guard of Smart Center. maybe he didn’t know any better.

Another idea: May be Smart or Sun could do broadband swap. Same thing they did with sim cards before. :)

I’m not satisfied with Globe Tattoo. Sobrang bagal, and napuputol pa. So di maximized yung load mo.

Actually, we got this bundled with a Compaq laptop at HP Trinoma. I had some experiences that possibly complemented the Tattoo experience.

1. One month delayed na ini-issue. Out of stock daw.
2. Masungit na issuer.

I hope Globe would do something about it.

I tell you. Globe Tattoo sucks big time. Am not putting Globe down just their tattoo. My globe broadband works fine at home. I love my duo landline service so anyway….

We have two netbooks at home with two different tattoo SIMS. The HP mini comes with tattoo USB while the Dell has built in for mobile internet SIM. Both showed dismal results. Took almost 15 minutes just for gmail to open. Tested in Cebu too and Laguna, and ugh mas mabilis pa iphone 3g ko. What gives? why does my iphone 3g download faster than the tattoo 3g? Do they have special ports for iphone and tattoo users?

I am now using smart 3g via phone modem and am very happy with the speed in almost any place in metro manila.

And most of my friends are now using smart bro after I told them about my experience. They have no regrets.

Globe Tattoo needs to fix their internet connection before going full blast with their promotions.

Globe Tatoo is the the worst among the 3 providers for USB Boradband services. Nasa Ortigas na ako which is Globe dominated. Walang kwenta talaga. Dinala ko yung modem dun sa QC and within visual distance of a cell site pero wala pa rin.

Wag kayo padadala sa commercial.

Payong kaibigan lang, stay away from Globe.

Over Smart, you’ll save a few pesos here at least. Not just on the dongle itself but on the time charging as well. Smart charges 10pesos/30 min., Globe charges 5pesos/15 min. These minimum charges apply when you go over at even a fraction of these time blocks.

And that’s about it. Sorry guys, Globe wins. As for reliability, read above posts.

Nothing beats Sun hehe when it comes to package deal. For existing sun users: P699 – unlimited 3G internet, for non existing Sun users, 189x (during week days) then weekend promo: 159x for the modem and then 799 per month. Compared to other networks meter/capped plans aside from paying the modem.

bakit hindi ninyo isipin bakit mura ng printer pero mahal ng ink? same analogy so i think this is expected.

Lower prices mean more people buying, which lead to more users of their already overtaxed lines. Higher revenues to the telcos, higher aggavation for us. It’s that simple.

Yes, we should learn to live with it as in all things in this country for lack of something better.

Copping out? No, just being real.

Price drop of modems is a good thing…. now internet can really be “almost” at anyone’s fingertips. I just hopw that the services will also improve.

Without improvement in services like bandwidth and the like, this will just mean additional load to their already loaded networks.

I’m sticking with SMART BRO…

Another great news that I might had overlooked again. I wonder will Sun catch up with the two top networks? It’s been ages since I’ve been hearing the same reasons that their internet packages using a USB modem is ONLY available in the Metro.

this is what competition is all about.. since we now have 3 players in the wireless connection market, they’ll try to out do each other by lowering down their price. I’m sure sun will follow suit, now that we see their promotions in every tv station. I sure wish someone will comeup with a prepaid.. DSL/cable connection. I’m sure this will surely be a hit to all consumer. Image… a DSL connection that you can regulate..

Kaya pala mejo bumagal sun kasi gusto ng karamihan. Haha. In anyway, pinakasulit ang sun broadband as of the moment.

For more than a year, evangelist ako ng globe until naging bulok services nila. Check out my blog for feedbacks. Also checkout broadbandph.blogspot.com

That blog also contains testimonials of globes cr@ppy services.

They should advertise honestly regarding sa speed ng Smart Bro particularly sa Samar, di kame makapag-webcam. Instead of making beautiful designs in their usb kits, why won’t make their speed better anywhere in the country.

While I agree that lowering prices are great, I would prefer if these telcos deliver on their promised speeds and coverage. Doing that alone will have customers knocking at their door instead of them trying all these marketing and ad gimmicks. Word of mouth alone should keep their business flourishing as long as they maintain quality of service.

I just bought a Smart Bro prepaid for 995 and I would have gladly paid for the original price rather than getting it this cheap with lousy speeds in return.

Location and mode of connection must be big factors. I’m in Davao and on SmartBro prepaid which is usually slow, but its speed picks up in areas where 3G is available. I think it goes for all providers, since some of my friends who are on Globe have similar experiences.

But it’s true that disconnections actually happen, so you have to reconnect and be charged anew.

Really frustrating, but we have to live with it.

I have SmartBro and Sun Cellular Wireless Broadband and they lead by a huge margin compared to Globe’s piece of Sh*t!

I trusted SUN in my downloads. If they say up to 3Mbps then its true.
Ang SUN din ang may pinakamurang load. 50pesos for 6hours of internet.

Stay Away sa Globe Tattoo. Mauubos load nyo if your in prepaid kahit di kayo makapag browse.

Di ko pa na try SMART Bro.
