Globe Telecom hosted the Apple iPhone 4S launch at midnight at the Ayala Museum where the postpaid plans were revealed on the night itself with the first Globe iPhone 4S subscriber being The Philippine President himself.

    Why do i get the feeling that. Globe retention sucks? I was given a loyalty retention offer that is the same as the offer for new subscriber… So i dont get any benefit from being loyal to globe… Booh!

      Think of it as an improvement (kahit hindi hahahaha). They don’t usually offer newly launched phones as part of their loyalty plans. Right now, mukhang inuna tayo. But then tama nga, loyalty = new subscriber offer lang na parang di ka part sa kinita nila on the last two years, sana man lang may discount for being “loyal” to them. Pero kung improve nila ng mabilisan yung kulelat nilang coverage sa 3G at 4g ok na ko dun.

      tama ka Derk. Globe’s 3G coverage is kulelat. I got a 3G signal on an area which most of the time I hang out. When I complained about this, they said: 3G signal that reflects on the phone doesn’t necessarily suggest that it is. “What?”. And they added that it has yet to be aligned to that particular tower and I have yet to file an escalation letter to request for it. “What?”. Less than a week after that, I opted to disconnect my Unlisurf Plan. I don’t mind paying extra charges.

      Sabi ko pa naman Il just get the unlimsurf 999 then cash out 25k pero yeah, globe nternet sucks. Sa office namin its not 3g signal, eh sun broadband nga nasa 2mbps and registered. DL speed ko.

      Now yung smart naman bakit ganun hindi daw pwedeng magadd on ng unlicall plans sa iphone data plans nila…

    Paanong di magiging mura tong phone na to eh scrapware lang iPhone 4 to. Imagine kung gaano kamura imanufacture to using the same “aluminum unibody” casing and LCD “Retina” screen. Same style, same screen. Nakakabore na.

    Magandroid na lang kayo, espc. Galaxy Note with “HD LED Screen” rather than “LCD”.

    or kung pulubi kayo mas mabuti pang bumili ng nokia kesa dito. At least may “Carl Zeiss” camera kesa sa aluminum piece of crap called IPHONE!!!

    Nokia and Android FTW!!!

      The big difference is the OS.
      It’s like having a dinner in expensive restaurants (for Apple) against fast foods (Android). People with money to spare prefer to dine sa former…So, don’t compare iOS with other OSes….Android OS is good kaya lang sobrang dami ng versions + dagdag mo pa yung customizations ng carrier (e.g. Samsung, LG etc).

    The consumable amount posted is inconsistent on the information found in the Globe website under PostPaid -> UnliSurf combo. the consumable in the plan 1799 is stated at 1200 where as the ones being communicated by their agents is only 800….interestingly their plan 3799 has a consumable of 3999 in their website… I’ve checked it with them thru their hotline and when they saw the price at their website, they told me that they’ll verify this and give me a call… hehehe

      I got it from GB3, as of yesterday the 16GB is already sold out in GB3, G3, and Trinoma when I went there with my friends who also wants this.

      Come to think of it Smart Plan999 is not a good deal so I grab this instead for 2 years you will pay have to pay roughly 48K which is better than getting the prepaid unit with no data!
