Smart extends unlimited LTE, bares regular pricing

In a press release sent posted yesterday, Smart announced that they are extending their introductory promo for unlimited LTE from April 30 to June 30. In the same announcement, they also revealed the regular prices for mobile LTE.

Originally offered with unlimited LTE access on April 30, Smart announced that this has been extended to June 30. This applies when you subscribe to the regular unlimited plan.

At the same time, All-in Plan users may avail of by sending the appropriate keyword to 7577 to enjoy unlimited LTE service until June 30, 2013. Prices for these plans are as follows:

Always On 50, 25MB, Php50

Always On 100, 75MB, Php100

Always On 300, 300MB, Php300

Always On 500, 1GB, Php500

Always On 995, 2GB, Php995

If you don’t want the bucket plans and prefer time-based charging, the regular Php10 per 30 minute rate will apply.

Aside from the older LTE devices like the Xperia V and iPhone 5, newer phones are now being offered on LTE plans like the ZTE T82 and the Huawei Ascend D1.

Grabe ang mahal nito ha. Dito sa US kung saan malakas talaga ang signal ng LTE at napakabilis ng network eh 10 USD lang ang 3GB data. That is around 400 PHP!

Gulangan talaga ang drama ng Smart at Globe, palibhasa duopoly.

I’m currently with Globe. Their LTE plan is always unlimited (No data cap). I am consuming at least 30gb of data a day using Globe’s LTE network.

If we subscribe to LTE, what happens when we’re out of the LTE coverage area? Are we still gonna get 3G or is it a different subscription? Thanks!

You’re not literally subscribing to LTE but to their data promos. You could avail of the LTE if you’re phone is LTE capable and you’re in a covered area of their LTE services. Once registered the promo would be usable whether LTE or 3G.

at 1 mbps, 1 gig can be downloaded in around 2hrs 10 min.
