UV Express to be allowed back in EDSA

Listen to article

It is a great news, my hubby is a UV Express Driver. He can go home now early.

The main issue here is discipline. HPG should penalize erring drivers, whoever they are. Violators should be apprehended. Especially those drivers causing massive traffic. Yellow lanes should be used ONLY for public transport.

I commute from Marikina to Makati and ever since UV Expresses were disallowed to traverse EDSA, I had to allot an additional one hour to my travel time since traffic on C5 is hellish, in every essence of the word. I’m glad they’re allowing them back on EDSA. But I do hope they find a good solution to alleviate the traffic situation in the metro.

Its the motorcycle riders they should regulate in EDSA. They have their own lane and they weave in and out of lanes, on side walks and even bypass U turns by squeezing themselves on the small gaps

Motorcylces too. Most of them don’t know that you are not supposed to go to the other lane as that would be considered a counterflow, basta kung saan sila kasya duon sila pupunta, kahit masagasaan sila, iniisip nila kung natamaan sila, wala silang kaso, kasi kung kotse nakadali sa kanila sila pa din panalo. take example Mckinley Forbes.

If wouldn’t be a problem if any of the UV Express drivers actually knew how to operate a motor vehicle. I’m never quite sure if they are just straight out lunatics, blind, medicated, or murderous. The random lane changes, the aggressive cutoffs, the random stops across two lanes… I can’t stand them. It would be entertaining if it wasn’t so frightening.
