HUAWEI set to launch Watch Kids X1 in the PH

Listen to article

We’ve written about it in May, but we’re happy to report that the HUAWEI Watch Kids X1 is making its way to the Philippines.

As expected, this watch does way more than just tell the time. It has a 1.82-inch AMOLED display upfront that can be flipped up, rotated, or reoriented for kids to tinker around with.

This display is shelled in by an “armoured” design as HUAWEI puts it, engineered to protect it when children live their lives to the fullest. The IPX9/IPX8/2 ATM water-resistance rating enables them to explore freely. A silicone strap keeps it locked on, yet breathable for all-day use.

The watch also has both a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel selfie shooter. Once the stuff of science fiction, kids can now take photos on-the-go without pulling out their phones. All these images can be kept in 32GB of onboard storage. They can also add each other using a “shake to add” feature.

Of course, the Watch Kids helps parents watch their kids. The device has global 2G/3G/4G support and can be used for video calls. Additionally, the HUAWEI FamCare app provides 24/7 Activity Status, Safe Zone Protection, and SOS support all from the convenience of a smartphone.

On the watch is also a Health Assistant that can monitor steps, heart rate, and emotion.

The HUAWEI Watch Kids X1 will be available in the Philippines starting June 30 for PHP 13,999.

Available colors are Blue and Pink.
