LG Display unveils 77-inch Flexible and Transparent OLED TV

Known for being the world’s leading innovator of OLED display technologies, LG Display unveiled world’s first 77-inch flexible and transparent OLED display in South Korea, on June 22.

During the previous years, LG Display made its first 18-inch flexible OLED display, as well as a separate transparent display in 2014. Then in 2015, the company developed an 18-inch “rollable” display that shows off a curvature of 30mm.

The new OLED display is 77-inch diagonal and can be rolled up to a radius of 80mm without affecting the function the display. It also boasts an Ultra HD (UHD) with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 with 40% transparency.

    For sure, mahal ang tv na ito. OLED are really flexible when it was researched and developed by kodak. Unfortunately, kodak lost a big amount of investment that it has to sell its OLED research.

    During its development, in late 90’s, I was already dreaming of a 19in tv that i can roll up and take it anywhere with me. Mukhang ilang taon na lang at mamgyayari na. Hehehehe…
