0:00Hey guys, this is Ser from Yugate and
0:01today we are at another Samsung Galaxy
0:04Unpacked event and today’s we are
0:06launching two new devices that are going
0:09to be talked about a lot. The first is
0:11the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 and
0:13alongside it is the Z Flip FE and if you
0:16want to know more about that, you can
0:17check out TY’s video which is out right
0:20now. But for today in this video, we’re
0:22going to be talking about the new Galaxy
0:25Zfold 7. And as you can tell, it’s a lot
0:28slimmer. And there’s a lot of new
0:31updates, too. There are new cameras, a
0:33new OS, and of course, a new chipset.
0:36But what else does the Galaxy Zfold 7
0:39have in store? Well, stay tuned as we
0:41talk about it in this hands-on review
0:42video of the Galaxy ZFold 7.
0:51Let’s start things off with the biggest
0:53change Samsung made to the Galaxy ZFold
0:557, the design. We’re not talking about
0:57the overall design of the ZFold 7,
0:59though. It still features the same
1:01Samsung design language we’re very much
1:03familiar with. Instead, I’m talking
1:05about the size of the phone itself. It’s
1:07usually hard to tell when a company says
1:09their new phone is slimmer than before,
1:11but not for the Galaxy ZFold 7. At one
1:14glance, you can tell just how slim it
1:16has become, both folded and especially
1:19unfolded. To give you a better
1:20reference, we compared it to TY’s Galaxy
1:22S23, which is already a slim phone to
1:24begin with. Unfolded, the ZFold 7 is
1:27even thinner. I’m quite surprised how
1:29Samsung managed to fit a physical SIM
1:31card slot as well as the USBC port in
1:33this phone given how slim it is. Because
1:36of the slimmer body, the Galaxy ZFold 7
1:38feels a lot better in our pockets. And
1:40despite it being a lot slimmer, the
1:41Galaxy ZFold 7 didn’t feel fragile. It
1:44still feels solid and sturdy. Even with
1:46a thinner body, it doesn’t seem like it
1:47will easily break despite numerous
1:49cycles of opening and closing the main
1:50display. Speaking of the display, the
1:52cover screen has also become slightly
1:54larger. There are thinner borders all
1:56around. And from our short experience
1:57with the phone, you can do almost
1:59everything on the cover screen already.
2:01Still an LTPO AMOLED panel with 120 Hz
2:03refresh rate, meaning you can already
2:05play games and enjoy watching videos
2:07from the cover screen alone. But of
2:09course, that’s best done on the main
2:10display. Similar to the cover screen,
2:12the main display of the Samsung Galaxy
2:13Zfold 7 is also bigger than before. And
2:16it’s here where you will really enjoy
2:18watching videos or playing games. And
2:19just like before, you can set it up
2:21folded where in half the screen displays
2:22the video with the other half just as
2:24your controller. Alternatively, you can
2:26just open it fully and watch everything
2:28from there. The crease is also a lot
2:30less noticeable as compared to before.
2:32It’s still there, but the majority of
2:33the time you’re using the phone, you
2:34won’t really notice it at all. Now,
2:36under the hood, Samsung did upgrade the
2:38chipset of the Galaxy Zfold 7. It now
2:41uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset,
2:43which is similar to what you’d find in
2:44the flagship Samsung Galaxy S25 series.
2:47Depending on the variant you choose, it
2:48is available with up to 16 GB of RAM and
2:51up to 1 TB of storage. Since this is
2:53just a hands-on video, and given our
2:54short time with the phone, we weren’t
2:56really able to run our usual benchmarks.
2:58However, we were able to play a few
2:59games. On Genjin, it handled everything
3:01maxed out and surprisingly for a phone
3:03this thin, there weren’t any heating
3:05issues either. But it’s no surprise that
3:07the ZFold 7 could run graphic intensive
3:10titles given the very capable chipset.
3:12What we were more interested in was the
3:14OS. The Galaxy ZFold 7 ships with
3:16Android 16 out of the box skin with 1 UI
3:198. It comes with improved AI features
3:21and even better quick share to name a
3:22few. We didn’t get to tinker with it too
3:24much, but just like the chipset, we’ll
3:26have more info about it in the full
3:27review. Moving on to the cameras,
3:29Samsung made some major changes here as
3:31well. The cameras of the previous ZFold
3:33series weren’t exactly the best,
3:35especially compared to the S23 or even
3:37the S24 Ultra that were launched
3:39alongside it. But on the Galaxy ZFold 7,
3:42it now comes with a 200 megapixel main
3:44shooter similar to that on the Galaxy
3:46S25 Ultra. We did get to try it out a
3:49bit, and there is certainly a big
3:51improvement in terms of the quality,
3:53especially in not so well-lit
3:54environments like the one we were in. As
3:56for the rest of the cameras, they seem
3:57to be a carryover from before. But hey,
4:00at least the main camera is now a lot
4:02more capable than ever. And just like
4:04before, you can turn on the cover screen
4:06while using the camera to show what the
4:08person you’re taking a photo of what
4:10they look like. It also makes it a lot
4:11easier to take selfies using the main
4:13camera as opposed to the cover or the
4:15front camera. As for the battery, there
4:17appears to be no changes here. It still
4:18uses the same 4,400 mAh battery pack as
4:22before with similar charging speeds.
4:24Unfortunately, that’s all the time we
4:26had with the Samsung Galaxy ZFold 7, but
4:28stay tuned for our full review, which
4:30will be coming out very soon. What we do
4:32have is the price. It’s a lot more
4:34expensive now, starting at 112,990
4:38pesos for the 12 + 256 GB variant and
4:42120,990 pesos for the 12 + 512 GB
4:46variant. As for the topsp spec 16 GB
4:48plus 1 TB model, that will set you back
4:51141,990 pesos. You do have four colors
4:54to choose from: blue shadow, jet black,
4:56silver shadow, and the online exclusive
4:59mint color. Oh, so that about wraps up
5:02our video on the Samsung Galaxy ZFold 7.
5:05What do you guys think of this new
5:07foldable phone from Samsung? It has a
5:10new chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Elite,
5:12which is a lot more powerful. It also
5:14has a new camera with a 200 megapixel
5:16main shooter. And of course, it’s a lot
5:18thinner, so it now fits in your pocket a
5:21lot easier. And when you unfold it, it’s
5:23even a lot thinner. It’s a lot of money,
5:25but you do get a lot of improvements as
5:28compared to before. But whatever the
5:30case, what do you guys think of the new
5:32Samsung Galaxy Zfold 7? Would you cop it
5:36or would you rather cop the Samsung
5:38Galaxy Z Flip 7? Whatever the case,
5:40share your thoughts in the comment
5:41section down below. And of course, if

5:55review of the Galaxy ZFold 7, which will
5:57be coming out very soon. Once again,
5:59this has been SE. I’ll see you guys in

We just got our hands on something that might make you reconsider everything you thought about big-screen phones.

We’re at another Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event, and while the Z Flip 7 is getting plenty of attention, there’s another star of the show that’s whispering, not shouting, about its biggest upgrade.

The new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 is here, and the first thing you’ll notice isn’t a new color or a crazy camera bump. It’s something you feel before you even turn it on.

Samsung says it’s their slimmest Z Fold yet, but is that just marketing talk, or is there a real, tangible difference that changes the daily experience? We unboxed it, held it, and compared it side-by-side with a regular flagship phone, and the results genuinely surprised us.

How did they manage to make it thinner without making it feel fragile? What does this new form factor mean for slipping it into your jeans pocket or holding it during a long video call? We explore all that and the other key updates in our hands-on video.

If you’ve ever been curious about foldables but were put off by the bulk, this might be the one that changes your mind.

What You’ll See in This Video

  • The design is the headline act. At one glance, you can tell just how much slimmer it has become, both folded and especially when unfolded.
  • We did a real-world comparison, placing it next to a Galaxy S23. Unfolded, the Z Fold7 is even thinner, which is a genuine engineering feat.
  • Despite the dramatic slim-down, it doesn’t feel fragile. The phone still feels solid and sturdy in the hand, a crucial win for durability.
  • The slim profile makes a huge difference for pocketability. It feels a lot better and less bulky when you’re carrying it around all day.
  • Samsung packed in a physical SIM slot and a USB-C port into this slender frame, proving they didn’t sacrifice functionality for form.

Ready to see the slimmest Z Fold in action and find out if its new cameras and chipset live up to the hype? Don’t just take our word for it. Watch our full hands-on video to get the complete, unfiltered first impressions!

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 really that much thinner?

Yes. Based on our hands-on, the difference is immediately noticeable, especially when unfolded. We compared it directly to a standard slim smartphone, and the Z Fold7 came out thinner.

Does the thinner design make the phone feel less durable?

What are the other key updates on the Galaxy Z Fold7?

While the slim design is the star, Samsung also mentioned updates to the camera system and a new chipset. For all the specific details and our initial thoughts, you’ll have to check out our full video review.
