0:00So, Techno just dropped the Pova 7
0:03Ultra, and if there’s one thing clear
0:05from the get-go, it’s that this phone is
0:07built for gamers. We’re talking high-end
0:10specs, tons of AI tools, a flashy gamer
0:12ccentric design, and a big battery to
0:15back it all up. Hello from the other
0:17side, CJ here, and let’s break it down
0:19and see what it’s all about.
0:24The Technopova 7 comes in what Techno
0:27calls an interstellar spaceship design.
0:30Basically, it looks futuristic, a little
0:32flashy, and very gamer core. If you’re
0:35into devices that stand out, this one
0:37definitely does. It’s subtle, but that’s
0:40what it’s trying to be. Simplistic, but
0:42it can still stand out. It’s a bit on
0:44the larger side with a solid weight to
0:46it, which makes sense since there’s a
0:48big battery and a cooling system inside.
0:50The phone also has IP64 dust and water
0:53resistance, so it can handle some
0:55splashes and dusty environments without
0:57breaking a sweat. One thing that the
0:59Pova 7 Ultra comes with is its upgraded
1:01mini LED status light. It lights up when
1:04users get incoming calls, text messages,
1:07app notifications, file transfer, and
1:09even when increasing or decreasing the
1:11volume. See that? Going down and going
1:17up. It can dynamically flash in sync
1:20with the ringtone you’re using while the
1:21screen is off. For buttons and ports,
1:24you have the volume rocker and power
1:25button on the right side, the dual SIM
1:27card tray, USBC port, and one of the
1:30stereo speakers at the bottom, while the
1:32top has the other speaker and IR
1:33blaster. Overall, it’s a clean design
1:35with a futuristic touch to make it stand
1:38out from the rest. At the front, you’re
1:40getting a 6.67 67 in AMOLED display here
1:43with a sharp 1.5K resolution and a super
1:46smooth 144 hertz refresh rate. It’s
1:48crisp, colorful, and very responsive,
1:51which is great for gaming and media.
1:53Brightness isn’t an issue either, since
1:55it goes all the way up to 4500 nits
1:57peak, which is wild. Even in direct
2:00sunlight, this screen stays readable.
2:02Audio solid, too, as the stereo speakers
2:05are tuned with Dolby Atmos. While highs
2:07and mids are decent, it seems that its
2:09bass is a bit lacking for my taste. It
2:11isn’t the loudest, but it makes up for
2:13it with adequate quality. Add in the IR
2:16blaster and you’ve got a feature you
2:18don’t see often anymore. It’s great for
2:20controlling TVs or other gadgets. For
2:22biometrics, you get an ondis fingerprint
2:24sensor and face unlock, which are pretty
2:26snappy, being able to open the device
2:28the moment it registers my print or
2:30face. On paper, the Technopova 7 Ultra
2:34comes with a 108 megapixel main sensor,
2:36which sounds impressive. There’s also an
2:388 MP ultrawide to give you some
2:41versatility. Up front is a 13 megapixel
2:43selfie shooter inside a clean looking
2:45punch hole. It can generally take shots
2:47with near accurate color reproduction,
2:49though there are some cases where it can
2:51come out a bit more saturated after you
2:53take the shot. There are times when
2:55photos come out a little soft,
2:57especially in low light conditions, but
2:59that’s to be expected. Nonetheless, it
3:02still covers a decent amount of dynamic
3:04range, especially in bright
3:05environments. It’s not the most capable
3:07camera setup out there, but it’ll do
3:10just fine for casual shots and social
3:12media sharing. For video recording, it
3:15shoots up to 4K at 60 frames per second
3:17at the rear, while the front goes up to
3:194K at 30 frames per second. You can see
3:21more of our sample shots right here.
3:24time.
3:32So, what do you guys think? Let us know
3:33in the comments below.
3:35>> This is the Techno POVA 7 Ultra shooting
3:37at 4K at 30 frames per second. So, this
3:40is what the front camera looks like. Do
3:43you like it? What do you guys think? Let
3:45us know in the comments below. Now,
3:46here’s where the Technopova 7 Ultra
3:48really shines, the performance. It’s
3:51powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8350
3:53Ultimate chipset, which is a 4 nanometer
3:55processor with a clock speed of up to
3:573.35 GHz. Paired with up to 12 GB of
4:00fast LPDDR5X RAM, plus another 12 GB of
4:04extended memory, this thing can speed.
4:07You also get 256 GB of UFS 4.0 storage,
4:10which is super fast. Gaming wise, it
4:13supports up to 120 FPS in games like
4:15PUBG Mobile. It also comes with hyper
4:17gaming engine, precise touch control,
4:20and squad net boost for a more stable
4:22and responsive gameplay. Heavier titles
4:24such as Withering Waves and Persona 5:
4:26The Phantom X might stutter a bit at the
4:28start, but once Techno’s hyperboost
4:30kicks in, things smooth out and stay
4:32stable. The cooling system also helps as
4:34Technos using a 12 layer structure with
4:36a big vapor chamber to keep temps down.
4:39They say it can drop the heat by about
4:413° C, which helps when you’re playing
4:44for longer periods. If you’re interested
4:46in the numbers, here’s what we got from
4:48the device.
4:49[Music]
5:10Running on iOS 15 special, which is
5:13based on Android 15. The Technopova 7
5:15Ultra isn’t just about hardware. If
5:18you’ll notice, the new icons matches the
5:20overall aesthetic of the device. You
5:22have a wide range of choices to choose
5:24from in customizations, too. It’s packed
5:26with a lot of AI powered features that
5:27you’ll probably find handy whether
5:29you’re working, studying, or just
5:31browsing. There’s the Techno AI portal
5:33where you can quickly access all your
5:35tools and shortcuts. Ask Ella is the
5:37built-in smart assistant that can help
5:39you schedule things, write, or summarize
5:41text, and more. You’ve also got AI
5:43writing tools to help clean up emails or
5:45generate content. And there’s circle to
5:47search where you just draw a circle
5:49around anything on the screen and will
5:51pull up relevant results instantly. For
5:53creatives, there’s AI Studio. You can
5:55use it to retouch photos, expand images,
5:57or even generate new visuals using AIGC
6:00portrait 2.0, AI Eraser, and more.
6:03Everything’s builtin and easily
6:05accessible. Battery life is another big
6:07win here. The Povo 7 Ultra packs a 6,000
6:10mAh battery and based on the PC Mark
6:12test, it lasts about 11 hours and 32
6:14minutes. That’s a solid run time,
6:16especially for a phone that’s pushing
6:18144 hertz refresh rate. Charging is
6:20quick, too, as you get 70 watt wired
6:22charging and 30 watt wireless, plus 10
6:24watts reverse wired charging if you need
6:26to top up other devices like wireless
6:29earbuds and the like. For connectivity,
6:31it’s got the works. Dual SIM, 5G, Wi-Fi
6:346, Bluetooth 5.4, 4, GPS, NFC, and USBC.
6:38One standout feature is something called
6:40Freelink. It lets you make calls and
6:42send messages peer-to-peer with no
6:44signal within a 1 kilometer range. It’s
6:46super handy for outdoor use, events, or
6:49in areas with bad reception. As of
6:51writing this review, we don’t have the
6:53official price yet for the Techno POVA 7
6:55Ultra, but once we have the cost details
6:58during the making of this video, we’ll
7:00be flashing the price in front of you.
7:02Now,
7:04Techno really went all in with the Pova
7:067 Ultra. It’s made for gamers and power
7:08users, no question. Between the 144 Herz
7:11AMOLED screen, the high-end dimensity
7:13chip, the cooling system, and all the
7:15smart AI features, it covers a lot of
7:18ground. Even the camera, while not its
7:21strongest suit, is good enough for daily
7:23use. What’s most impressive is how many
7:25features Techno packed in here. wireless
7:27charging, built-in AI tools, free link,
7:30and a unique look that stands out. If
7:32you’re looking for a phone that can game
7:34hard, last all day, and still feel
7:37futuristic in daily use, the Pova 7
7:40Ultra definitely fits the bill. But what
7:42do you guys think of the Technopova 7
7:44Ultra? Are you planning on getting it?
