Xiaomi unveiled a handful of products in Beijing near the end of June. This included the Xiaomi YU7 series, MIX Flip 2, and a selection of wearables.
For today’s hands-on, we managed to get our hands on the Xiaomi Smart Band 10. This watch is positioned as a well-rounded alternative for your health tracking needs. It’s also budget-friendly, priced under PHP 2,500.
Unboxing was fairly straightforward, as users will receive a long, minimalist box. Our unit also came with an extra premium silk-knit band to change it up if desired.
Out of the box, we were met with the watch and its TPU strap. Other contents include a charging cable and a quick start manual.
Personally, I wasn’t a fan of the default strap as it didn’t feel as smooth on my skin as I expected. If you’ve seen our recent short, you’ll notice that we made use of the silk-knit band more.
To detach the straps, users can find two subtle buttons behind underneath. Re-attaching them or adding new straps is as easy as pushing it back in. It easily latches on and shouldn’t give users any issues.
That being said, the watch is clean from anything else like buttons on the sides making it feel clean. Users will also find a sensor and some pins that are used for charging at the back of the watch.
After booting up the band, users will get a prompt to scan a QR code. This directs you to get the Mi Fitness app, which is available in both the App Store and Play Store. Once ready, pair the watch and follow the instructions. It shouldn’t take more than a few minutes of your time.
Going back to the unit, I immediately felt like it was built with intent to cater to women more. At first glance, it’s fairly small, thin, and fashionable at 10.95mm and weighs just 23 grams. However, it just didn’t fit my description and it looked much better on my fellow producer, CJ.
Build-wise, it sports an aluminum alloy frame and a 1.72-inch AMOLED display with thin bezels. It offers a 520 x 212 resolution, refresh rate of 60Hz and 1,500 nits of peak brightness.
Initially, the display felt like it should provide enough real estate. However, we realized that reading isn’t too optimal. Seeing as its size leans more towards a vertical orientation, it felt a bit tedious.
Still, swiping to explore and seeing what we could do with settings went smoothly. My concern was mainly the ability to read and quickly comprehend the display content.
In addition, the screen offers over 200 watch faces to choose from. There’s also some built-in minigames for those interested.
For power, it packs a 233mAh battery. Xiaomi says that it can last for 21 days and should only take an hour to fully charge. We’ve yet to unpack if this is accurate, but their product page should be a good baseline.
Connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.4, Mi Fitness support, and support for Android 8 or later and iOS 14 and up. Other features include its new 9-axis sensor, 5ATM water resistance rating, and integration into the Xiaomi AIoT ecosystem.
Generally, the wearable is a good find with its own pros and cons. So far, we’ve come to like its simplicity, responsiveness, and sleek feel. What we weren’t fans of was its included strap, screen size, and vertical orientation.
Online sales will begin later this month on July 27, 2025 in platforms like Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop.

Tthe problem is the step count accuracy because of its 9 axis sensor. That is what we Huawei band 10 users face. It’s just an incremental upgrade than the band 9. They should should have put gps or added more screen by making the device bigger.
