The popular live streaming and video recording program ‘OBS Studio’ had arrived on Steam platform today.

Obs Studio Now Available On Steam

Open Broadcast Software or simply, OBS Studio is a free software that has been available on the OBS Project website. “Over the years, we have received requests to publish OBS on Steam as it provides a convenient way to install and update software. For many users, it is one of their primary sources for the programs on their machines,” the team behind OBS Studio said on their Steam FAQ page.

OBS Studio on Steam will be the exact same version as from the OBS Project website, although, Steam cloud saves are not yet supported.

“We experimented with enabling Steam Auto-Cloud but ran into several issues and limitations… However, we are working on building better ways of exporting/importing and backing up your OBS data regardless of platform,” the team said.

OBS Studio supports macOS 10.13 or higher and Windows 8.1 or higher (64-bit only). Linux is currently not supported.
