Just moments ago, Apple unveiled the 4th generation iPod Touch which features a retina display and 2 cameras (one for FaceTime and one for HD video recording).

Apple claims the new iPod Touch can do 7 hours of video playback and 40 hours of audio. With the CPU and RAM upgrade, it looks like Apple is dead serious in making the iPod Touch a portable gaming device (Apple even claims it’s bigger than the PSP and Nintendo DS combined).

i applied an HSBC card just for this. The HSBC guy i talked to on their Enterprise Bldg. Branch in Ayala says we can use the promo for the Ipod Touch 4.
I went to the MAC store in Green 3 and they said they’re not sure if we can use it on an Ipod Touch 4.
What they’re sure is that the HSBC promo can be used for the older one.
haaay wala pa rin ako makita sa Net na nakakuha na ng Ipod Touch 4 via the HSBC promo .

Just got the iPOD touch 4 a few days ago and I’m pleasantly surprised.
Some info if you guys want to purchase the said item: I got the 64GB model for Php17,500 at Game Extreme (Bridgeway shop at Virramall, Greenhills). So far it is the cheapest deal I’ve found in the Metro. The next cheapest is at Digital Hub (64gb is Php 17,800) but so far no models have been delivered yet.
The ipod touch 4 comes with Apple OS 4.1. Am contemplating on jailbreaking it as Limera1n from the iPOD Dev Team already hacked the version. Has anyone tried this yet? Any problems encountered?

@Dee- I jailbroke my iPOD touch a few days ago using Limera1n. The new version works on iOS 4.1 (that’s the latest version). So far no problems. The instructions are on the link I posted.
Guys you can Jailbreak your iPod Touch 4g using “Limerain” or “Greenp0ison” (O is written as 0 “zero”) I’ve tried both on my Touch 4 and both worked well. I’d be glad to jailbreak yours for free! (i’ll just instruct you via mail.)Merry Christmas everyone!
