Late this week, Google announced that they’ve completed the acquisition of DoubleClick (after EU approval). They also launched the AdSense Ad Manager which, IMO, made the DoubleClick purchase a brilliant move.

Over the last 3 months, there has been numerous reports on a sudden drop on paid clicks. This was caused by Google to reduce the clickable area of the ads last November 2007.

In October 2007, Google announced YouTube with AdSense overlayed on the videos. It was a move to monetize the 1.6 billion dollar investment Google made on Youtube.

If you just got a new domain, launched a blog and wanted to monetize it with AdSense, you can’t do it on the first 5 days. That’s according to an insider information that says Google will stop monetizing all domains if they are less than five days old.

While it’s fairly easy for Google AdSense bot to identify pages for blacklisted words (Stop Words), it’s much harder to figure out if the contents are all made up of images or photos. This is particularly true for questionable content such as adult or mature materials.

The official Inside Adsense blog has recently announced it is putting a cap on all non-Google product referrals in order to increase the value and quality of the referral network. IMO, that’s almost synonymous to fraudulent referral conversions.

There have been reports of YouTube allowing Publishers to embed AdSense ads on their uploaded videos, just like Revver has been doing for over a year.
Well, this was expected although when Google bought YouTube to get more eyeballs, people were anticipating something more than putting AdSense ads in there.
