Interesting Inq7.net Stats

Listen to article

While rummaging thru the slides of the recent 3-day conference (Free Expression in Asian Cyberspace: A Conference of Asian Bloggers, Podcasters and Online Media), I found the Powerpoint presentation of JV Rufino about Inq7.net.

In JV’s presentation, he pointed out their website’s figures:

  • 35 to 41 Million pageviews per month
  • 21 Million unique visitors
  • 90,000 SMS alert subscribers
  • 70% of traffic is from the US
  • 150 stories and 12 video clips per day
  • 50% of advertisers are from RP
  • 35% of advertisers are form US
  • 15% syndication, SMS, others
  • 100% advertising revenue growth per year

I’d like to highlight that 50% of online advertising is from RP and the growth doubles every year. Does that mean there’s enough online advertising to go around, especially for SME advertisers?

Manolo has been asking me to join the conference (he apparently talked about our Hello Garci adventures last year) but due to prior engagements, I wasn’t able to join him during his talk. We were able to meet up at Seattle’s Best in GB3 that afternoon while I’m with Ms. Susan Ople for her blogging tutorial.

@ wrencelot

Just like Migs said, the figure could be recurring. (meaning, the same 21 million or a fraction thereof are visiting the site every month)

21 Million unique visitors – per month, it looks obvious from the context.

35 to 41 Million pageviews per month – i think it includes page refresh..

21 Million unique visitors – did they mention the proximity..? i mean like 21 million unique visitors a day..? multiply that by 365 days, that will cover the earth population.. where are they getting other visitors, from pluto..?

as for the other data it looks convincing enough..
