While I am worried about the huge amount of comment spam I get on a daily basis, I just found out that the majority of the text posted as spam had some sort of a trend. The usual keywords/phrases are “debt consolidation”, “mortgage loans”, “foreign exchange” and “real estate”.
However, I am seeing a sizable number of keywords that might be a good topic for an experimental focus blog. I won’t divulge the topic yet as it is just a product of speculation and gut feel. However, the topic makes sense and could probably be a high traffic blog.
This will need some time for further exploration and research but I believe it would be a worthwhile project.
Only time will tell, and in case this pushes thru, I will only have them spam comments to thank for. hehehe

There was a time i used to actually read comment spam just for kicks. The spammers had taken to writing phrases and quotes lifted from some famous quotebook siguro, featuring the likes of Abe Lincoln, Confucius, Einstein, etc. So it was actually entertaining for awhile haha.
Unfortunately, bumalik sila sa viagra, poker and now, forex related spam. oh well.
