Full HD 16.4″ Sony Vaio is sleek and slim

{Live @ CEL Manila} This 16.4-inch Sony Vaio laptop caught my attention at the Sony booth. For the same price as the Macbook Pro 17, you get a slim and sleek multimedia laptop that’s to die for.

What’s disappointing is that the standard battery only lasts up to 1.5 hours while the extended battery lasts 3 hours. Weighs 3.1kg and 29mm thin. Price tag — Php160,000.

This rig will more likely hooked up to the power outlet most of the time.

I think this at best buy couple of weeks ago but it has a different configuration, I was looking to buy a new laptop anyway then, I was choosing between Sony VAIO FW160DH which has the same build as this one and 18′ Acer 8920, anyway I didn’t get this one as you will realize when you try to lift/pick up the laptop that its cheap and you will immediately feel the flexing, the case surrounding the keyboard also feel too plastiky for my liking, anyway I went with Acer 8920, also 160k is a bit too overprice for the build quality :)

The difference between 720p and 1080p in that resolution/screen size is barely noticeable(movie quality) and isn’t the font gonna be too small in that resolution?

For something this expensive, sleek, and easy to carry, that battery life SUCKS.

But it’s a good laptop nonetheless. Just buy an extra battery and you’re good to go.
