HP Mini 2140 now with Intel Atom too

Listen to article

While we thought the HP Mini 1000 was the next netbook out of HP’s doors, the new HP Mini 2140 isn’t far behind — replacing the previous Mini 2133 with Via CPU to an Intel Atom.

Those who bought the Mini 2133 earlier will not be happy to learn that the new Mini 2140 will sport the same keyboard goodness (92% full keyboard size), a 10.1-inch display screen size (1366×768 and 1024×567 resolutions), and powered by an Intel Atom processor.

Options for an 80GB or 160GB HDD and 1GB to 2GB RAM as well as a number of OSes — XP Home/Pro, SuSe Linux, FreeDOS and Windows Vista Home Basic/ Premium.

Expect the pricing structure to be similar to the MIni 2133 when it first came out — starting at $499 and higher.

Good website! I really love how it is easy on my eyes and the data are well written. I am wondering how I might be notified when a new post has been made. I’ve subscribed to your RSS which must do the trick! Have a great day!

Some are finding it difficult to maintain their property, especially if they are always busy and their area is large.

I think HP is still trying to get rid of all the 2133 stocks before launching the 2140. That may take several more months. Besides, they have the HP 1000 launched last December.

@hootie2t – only the HP Mini 1000 is available locally for 22k. The Mini 2140 is yet to be launched by HP in the Philippines. Could be in in 3 to 6 months.

This notebook will cater to those people that have a much powerful computer because if you are only going to depend on this for your computing needs you will be clearly dissatisfied because this doesn’t give enough punch to it for you to run some descent software in it. All you can do with this is browse the net and type some email.

No offense intended to anyone. Peace out.
