There’s been numerous discussions by subscribers of Smart Bro to flood the NTC with email complaints about the service, or lack thereof, from Smart WiFi. Details of the plan are posted in my Smart WiFi entry here.
The plan is simple. Every DSL subscriber will email NTC (ntc@ntc.gov.ph) on December 24, 2005 and file complaints against Smart together with stats/records of downtimes and intermittent connections.
They’ve been spreading the word in my blog and other blogs where SmartBro is being discussed as well as forums and other bulletin boards.
This is by far the most sensible and most professional move by Smart subscribers. My blog has received over 1,300 comments and close to 40,000 page views just because of Smart Bro yet most of the comments were rants and cussing (where tons of them were already deleted). I hope that my blog has in a way help spread the word and enable subscribers (including would-be subscribers) to communicate and unite on this issue.





First two months lang maayos service ng Smart Bro.. Litse talaga. Ngayon hindi na ako makapag-browse kapag may download sa torrent ko, kahit 1.0 kbps ang dina-download. Peste, 1mbps daw speed, eh talo pa ng dial up to eh.
before nman ok ung smartbro ko, ang set up is 3 computer using a router.. ok nman s 3 pc ang internet.. pero lately biglang nagloko n ang smartbroken n yan.. s status ng router ko ok ang connection on LAN, pati s WAN meron din pero ala pdin internet s mga pc.. ng try ako alisin ung router lgay ko muna s single pc, ok nman ang internet. pro bkt pg nkrouter hnd na xa ok, bkt gnun hnd nman ata tama un, hndi dpat limitado s single pc lng ang smart bro kc eversince nman gmgna n xa e, ewan ko lng this last months ng 2009 biglang ngloko n cla hnggang ngyon.. sbe nila cra dw router ko or reconfigure daw. malabo nman n cra un kc ok nman communication ng pc to pc thru lan e.. so cge trny ko ireconfigure, sa una naka connect kahit mbgal, pro ilang saglit lng nwala nnman! ANAKANAMPUCHAYANOOOOOOO! ang theory ko, hnd nddtect ng base station ng smart bro ung router ko. pg tinignan ko ung WAN status s router ko, connected nman xa pro baka ung router ko lng nkakadetect s base station pro ung base station hnd mdtect router ko, correct me if im wrong h, theory ko lng nman, kc prang nllbuan akong cra router ko e.. so ngyon ang action ko is ttry ko ung router ko s kakilala ko n mgnda ang service ng smartbro, pucha kpg gmana un mlmang ung base station ko ang my problema, at pg binalewala p yn ng smartbro, ttmbkan ko ng reklamo thru email s NTC.. kala nla h!!! anyone n my same problem ppost nman o, bk m2lungan nyo ko s msaklap kong karanasan s smartbroken n yn!!!
haist!! is this actually working? Are you still doing this guys? I really do hope that there is a professional lawyer that can help with this.. Cuz smart is just ridiculous!!! absofuc**ng slow!!! Connection is UK for virgin media is like 10mbps for 10 pounds and that is like 680 pesos per month, including phone line and cable… that is a bargain!! considering it is also fibre optic connection.. never had a problem. I thought that here in Philippines connections will actually be cheaper, I stand corrected!!

yes man, i’m with you, let me know our neat step,, i have virtually no choice here in silang near tagaytay,, there is globe, but the signal is worse than smarts,, and smart’s service really sucks //really really!

pinaputol ko na ang smart bro ko dahil wala akong connection ng 3 days. pero may mga bill pa rin na dumadating sakin at ang last na mail ay galing sa abogado. unfair nmn un kung babayaran ko pa un ng hindi ko nmn nagami. bakit evrymonth my bill pa rin na dumadating kahit pinaputol mo na. hindi nmn sila matawagan sa mga number nila ano ba yn pano nila malalaman kung my problem tayo sa smart
