I’ve probably sent out a couple of hundred invites for Google+ yesterday until Google closed the invites for over-capacity. But for those who received an invite and was able to get in, what do you think of Google+?
First, I have to say the simple and very clean design works best but it still reminds me of the usual Facebook Wall. What really separates it from FB is that you are able to segregate your friends from the get-go — it’s like how Friendster used to do it before. The Huddle feature is also interesting.
The good thing is that there’s a web app you can use from your phone and an Android app you can install (still limited to the US though) which really helps how you use the service (just look for the APK and download it to your Android phone or tablet). Oh, there’s a check-in feature here too!
So, going back to my question — what do you think of Google Plus?
Ok kasi harnessing the power of the crowd’s website preference. Most probably gagamitin as one of the factors for SERP ranking.
Again, thank you for the invite Abe.
For me, it’s still too early to tell if it’s good or if it’s going to knock Facebook’s socks off. Once it opens to the public and that we can try most of its features with our friends (you know, real interaction), then we’ll see.
I’ve also downloaded the .apk file over the web and installed it on my phone. It’s very slow on my SGS & it lagged most of the time. On the other hand, It’s all good (when it worked). I’m sure they’ll smooth things out eventually or hopefully before public release.
Good but could be better. Can it beat Facebook? Not sure for now. Those who are tired of the noise in FB will surely like G+.
you gave out the invites already? how come i didn’t get one when i was one of the first (the 2nd overall, i think) to leave a comment? huhuhu…
:D
@per – yup sent out them invites on first comment basis so nakasama ka
i saw some videos about it..
i love the ui..
but wala parin ako. Hope someone can invite me..
The concept is really amazing but the implementation is a bit off. The UI is mostly text based, users will be overwhelmed and be confused what to read first.
Yes the UI is neat, but masyadong neat kaya medyo boring na. No WOW factor.
A step by step wizard on its features is a big help, but considering it is still in Beta, maybe there are still more features to come.
Google should think of not only something new but something interesting and addicting in order for them to compete with or even outshine Facebook.
minimalist design, ui is responsive (faster?). has a lot of catching up to do with facebook. +1 for the video/audio chat. :)
Typo here:
“The good thing is that there’s a web app you can ‘used form’ your phone”
~~ still waiting for an invite.. *sigh*
Not bad… Interface looks like Facebook without the clutter.
I’ve yet to explore Google+. Thanks for the invite btw.
Here’s an interesting read: http://venturebeat.com/2011/06/30/google-could-make-twitter-the-next-myspace/
Hope they’ll preserve the simplicity. Just like google search engine.
I wanna try it. I’ve been looking for someone to invite me, kaso i got no response from them.
Koya, Yuga please invite me!
Thanks.
clean & loads the images faster than facebook. Good for a start.
No invite, no comment ahhahaha.
Na-abutan ako ng pag-close “due to overcapacity.”
Darn it.
thanks for the invite sir abe! but i still CANT acces google plus it says temporary unavail..

same here sir Abe… hoping makapasok an hour after you sent me the invite kaso failed…. hopefully maging official release na xa…
cant comment especially if you dont have one lol….
sana hindi ka nalang nag comment!
Still has a lot of catching up to do vs Facebook
having been a google fan from the start, i’d say, i really like the concept of circles, however, hindi ko pa talaga natest masyado dahil 1 pa lang ang contact ko. :S
