Google Nexus One Price and Launch Date

Relevance: 100%      Posted on: December 30, 2009

It's all official now. Google has sent out invitations to the January 5, 2010 launch date of the Nexus One Android phone. When it first leaked out, I wasn't too excited about it because of a couple of things -- that this isn't the first Google Android (the G1 was), that there are other similarly configured Android phones in the market (HTC Hero, Motorola Droid) and most especially that this isn't really manufactured by Google but instead, by HTC all the same. Still, the Google Nexus One is a looker with the promise of the better and sleeker Android 2.0…

The Galaxy S4 was announced back in March 14 in New York. The Philippine launch is just 6 weeks after that, a fairly quick one if we may add. We've also been using the Galaxy S4 for about 2 weeks now and actually finished the review this week. We will publish it once we get more details on release and local pricing. The local release of Nexus 5 has been confirmed by LG Philippines and while no exact details on the date and the retail price, they've announced that Smart will be offering the device together with their postpaid plans. No other details were given in the press release sent to us yesterday. As such, we can only guess the suggested retail price (between Php22k to Php25k) or the corresponding Smart postpaid plans that it will be made available for free (probably All-In-Plan 1800 or UnliData 2000).

Google, Asus to release a 3G version of Nexus 7

Relevance: 80%      Posted on: September 4, 2012

Although there's no doubt that the Nexus 7 is a sexy and powerful machine, it also has its fair share of drawbacks which includes the lack of support for 3G connectivity. However, it's been speculated that the Google-ASUS partnership is working on a 3G version of the quad-core tablet which is due in 6 weeks. If this rumor is to be believed, then the additional feature will lure in more potential buyers that were hesitant to buy the slate because of the lack of mobile data connection. You can check out our full review of the Nexus 7 here. Of…

The Google Nexus One has arrived

Relevance: 74%      Posted on: January 27, 2010

So the package arrived yesterday and I was able to unbox the Nexus One this afternoon. I knew that by getting that custom laser engraving, It'd be delayed by a week but I think it's worth it. First, and this is pretty obvious, the phone is pretty fast -- you can really feel that processing power kicking from inside. Having used the HTC Hero running 528MHz, the 1GHz SnapDragon CPU really does make a difference. Second, is brown the new black? I honestly didn't like the brown tones on the Nexus One. The brown looked okay on the Hero since…
