أكبر خاسر هو شركة PLDT/Smart مع انخفاض بنسبة 33% في صافي الدخل لنفس الفترة، بينما حققت Globe أداءً أفضل قليلاً بزيادة بنسبة 3% مقارنة بنفس الفترة من العام الماضي. هذا يمثل أكبر انخفاض في صافي الدخل لشركة PLDT منذ فترة طويلة.
In reality, PLDT’s core net income dropped only 6% or just a little over PHP1B. The bulk of the PLDT’s net income drop is due to an investment loss in Germany e-commerce company, Rocket Internet (for non-accountants the loss in Rocket Internet, to which PLDT has stake, was recognized in PLDT’s books. So that using the principle of comparing apple to apple, PLDT net profit was down only 6% and Globe up by 3% (assuming Globes 100% core figures).
