Apple Intelligence included in iOS 18.1 developer beta

Listen to article

Apple Intelligence has been included in the first developer beta release of iOS 18.1.

This news silently confirms that Apple Intelligence won’t come as part of the iPhone 16 launch in September this year. It’s slated to arrive via a software update in October, hence its inclusion in iOS 18.1, not iOS 18.

While it’s still a developer-only beta, netizens are itching to use the features that the update brings. It’s already expected to take a while before the general public can get collective access to this on release day.

Apple Intelligence offers insane writing tools, a Siri revamp, and so much more. For those interested, feel free to read my previous article for everything you need to know.

But until then, developers should enjoy using its features in the betas for iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1. On the plus side, a public beta of the former should be available in the coming weeks.
