Telegram rolls out redesigned app for Android and iOS

Telegram is rolling out a major update for Android and iOS, bringing a redesigned interface and new features for groups, creators, and developers.

On Android, the app now features a bottom navigation bar which enables users to access Chats, Settings, Profile, and other tabs faster. Telegram redesigned its interface code to achieve better performance and faster user response times. The new Power Saving menu located at Settings > Power Saving enables users to increase system performance while extending battery life.

The iOS update introduces a new media viewer which displays content and the system now shows better sticker and emoji previews and the context menus have been updated and iPad users can use the ⌘+Enter shortcut to send messages.

For group owners, Telegram now supports automatic ownership transfer. The system transfers ownership to an admin after one week when an owner leaves the group. The owners have the ability to transfer control whenever they choose. The update introduces a gift crafting system together with a marketplace for collectibles and new customization tools which bot developers can use.

Users need to update the app to access the new features.
