Bose is back with a refreshed version of its QuietComfort Ultra headphones, now packing lossless audio playback over USB-C while keeping that classic analog 2.5mm jack for wired fans.
Priced at $449 (PHP 26.5K), the new QC Ultra gets a slight bump from its predecessor, but Bose made sure to level up the feature set. Battery life has been boosted too, you can squeeze up to 30 hours with ANC, or 23 hours if you’re using head-tracking Immersive Audio. Turn ANC completely off via the Bose Music app, and you’re looking at a whopping 45 hours of playtime.
There’s also a new Cinema Mode, designed to create a wider soundstage and balance background effects so dialogue and vocals come through clearer, perfect for movies, podcasts, or audiobooks. Bose also claims improved bass at higher volumes, while background ANC noise has been reduced for quieter listening environments.
Other goodies include Bluetooth 5.4, multipoint connectivity, Spotify Tap, Google Fast Pair, and Qualcomm AptX Adaptive codec support. On-head detection has also been refined, auto-powering the cans when you wear them and putting them in low-power standby when laid flat or folded.
The new QuietComfort Ultra drops on October 2 in four colors: Black, White Smoke, Driftwood Sand, and Midnight Violet.
