HTC HD7 announced — like HD2 on Win 7

Listen to article

HTC’s newest Windows Phone 7 is aptly called the HTC HD7 and has almost the same look and form factor as its predecessor, the HTC HD2.

Initially released for T-Mobile, it should be out in the market before end of November this year.

HTC HD7 specs:
4.3″ display @ 480×800 pixels
Qualcomm Snapdragon QSD8250 1 GHz processor
576MB RAM
8GB & 16GB internal storage
Bluetooth 2.1 w/ A2DP
802.11 b/g/n
HSDPA, HSUPA
5MP camera w/ 720p video recording
GPS w/ aGPS support
Motion G-sensor
Proximity Sensor
Ambient Light Sensor
Li-Ion 1230 mAh
Windows Phone OS 7

And that kick-stand at the back is just classic. No pricing details yet but if history will repeat itself, there’s a possibility it will follow the pricing of the HD2 at the Php49k level. Hopefully though, HTC rationalizes it and brings it down to under Php40k.

Hi guys! for those of you looking for HTC HD2, please contact me coz I might just be of help :).

I have a FB page: Geeklab. We facilitate special orders for specific gadgets from the US. Now we have 1(one) HTC HD2 running on Froyo 2.2. Let me know if anyone of you is interested.

If you find HD2’s price a bit too pricey still, why not go for HQ refurbished items? Last we sold HD2 for only 24,000 and we never had a single complaint from our customer hehe.

pakiramdam ko i will switching to WP7 from android just for the great AAA gaming support. Sir Yuga or anyone in the know, yung windows marketplace and xbox live marketplace for paid apps, magiging available ba sa atin dito sa pinas? or may workaround ba like Marketenabler ng Android?

Sir Yuga, Do you think HD2’s price will drop significantly after the release of the HD7? I’m preparing for the right time to get HD2 a cheaper price!

I just hope it can match Cherry Mobile’s phone. I just don’t understand why people keeps on buying these cheap products, when we already have our own Pinoy phone, the Cherry Mobile, which is far superior compared to these products from unheard company. Cherry Mobile rule!!!!!!!!

i’m a fan of HD2 when it was first introduced, i still don’t have one though because of its steep price… this one with Win7 OS.!? omg… this will definitely an iPhone4 killer… thinking of so many things you can do with windows… still pricey though… but after a year HD2 was released i think they’re selling it for Php32k…

too pricey. I’m sure samsung and LG will bring it’s Windows7 Phones to us,like maybe the Focus or otherwise. Microsoft gave minimum hardware requirements anyway so these devices would be more or less similar. I will be getting that instead of this overpriced HTC. Am presently on android(HTC Nexus One) but i wanna give this OS a try, especially for the Xbox live integration and games.
