All of the new iPhones have Apple’s newest flagship chipset, the A12 Bionic with Neural Engine, based on the new 7nm architecture. The company claims that it has increased the overall performance by 15% while lowering power consumption by up to 50% as compared to the A11 Bionic chip. Its GPU, on the other hand, now has an 8-core design which is five more cores than the previous model.

The iPhone Xs and Xs Max both have the same camera configurations as compared to the iPhone XR. Its dual 12MP cameras with telephoto lens allow the smartphones to achieve 2x optical zoom on both photos and videos. As for the front camera, all of the new iPhones have the same setup.

As usual, Apple didn’t reveal the exact battery capacities of each iPhones but revealed a comparison to the older model. The iPhone Xs is said to last 30 minutes longer than the iPhone X, while the Xs Max is 1 hour and 30 minutes longer. The iPhone XR, on the other hand, is said to last 1 hour and 30 minutes longer than the iPhone 8+. We’ll put that to the test once we have a review unit on hand.

The iPhone Xs, Xs Max, and XR starts at USD 999 (~Php54,019), USD 1,099 (~Php59,426), and  USD749 (~Php 40,315), respectively. If we base it on affordability, value for money, and battery life, the iPhone XR has the slight edge. But if you have the extra budget, go for the iPhone Xs or Xs Max since it provides more features and better performance.
