Synology DS218+ with 2x12TB Seagate Ironwolf HDD

The combo between Synology and Seagate Ironwolf drives is an ideal one that could be a starting setup for those looking to get a more solid and robust network storage solution at home or in the office. It’s got all the basic features you can think of, an easy to use and control user interface and support for large drives such as the 12TB Seagate Ironwolf.

Acer Aspire 6 Captain America Edition

The overall design and construction of the Acer Aspire 6 Captain America edition are commendable thanks to its solid build quality and cool-looking aesthetics. For a Marvel fan, the Acer Aspire 6 Captain America edition would be a good collectible but with its price tag of Php54,999, we recommend users to buy the standard Aspire 6 or get a laptop with better hardware.

Fitbit Versa

The Fitbit Versa boasts strong fitness features for a smartwatch. The company once again proved their mastery of crafting fitness devices. It may look bland on its own but the various strap choices are more than enough to make it look sassy. Couple that with a good display and build and you have an almost perfect fitness companion. Though it does have some caveats.

Vivo Y71

Vivo tried to cater a budget-friendly device in the form of the Y71, however, we think that it’s pricey for an entry-level smartphone as there are other devices out in the market that offers the same specs at a much lower price. Nonetheless, the Y71 is still worth considering for its class as it has decent specs, good cameras, average battery life, and fast face unlock feature. If you don’t mind the price tag, then this is a daily driver is worth considering.

SJCAM SJ7 Star

The SJ7 Star is not the newest that SJCAM has to offer, but is still definitely a great choice as it gives you a lot of camera power at a low price. It’s not the most intuitive to use, especially when you’re used to the great user experience of GoPro’s offerings, but for just under Php9k, it’s a great deal.

Huawei P20

The P20 is a more polished and modern execution of the Huawei P series but it’s not without any fault. The lack of water-resistance is disappointing, especially that the P20 Pro has it. The absence of wireless charging isn’t a biggie since Huawei SuperCharge is a great fast-charging feature.

2018 Honda Mobilio 1.5 RS Navi

At the price of Php 1,058,000, it all comes down to the question of “is it worth the premium?” In my personal opinion, It’s a definite yes. In terms of quality, fit and finish, the Mobilio RS is a step above the competition even with its higher price point.

HP Spectre x2

The HP Spectre x2 is that kind of notebook designed for people who need to be productive yet want to do it in style. It’s attractive, nicely crafted, and equipped with hardware powerful enough to run demanding applications. It’s well-thought-out as well as HP acknowledged its limitations and addressed it by including the necessary accessories in the package. They even threw in the HP Active Pen which is a welcome accessory for artists.

ASUS ZenFone Max M1

The Zenfone Max M1 is yet another device that seems to fall short in delivering on its promises. The phone could’ve easily been a strong contender in the budget segment if not for its disappointing battery. Thankfully, it has some redeeming qualities such as a respectable screen, a good performance, and an acceptable set of cameras. Add that to the fact that even though it is supposed to be a toned-down version of the Max Plus M1, it has better overall performance.

Honor 9 Lite

The Honor 9 Lite is the phone for those who are looking for something stylish and premium yet doesn’t cost much. It’s not a lightweight in terms of performance as it is good and responsive and can handle graphic-intensive games. Camera quality is okay but don’t expect a lot when shooting in low-light. If you want something that is premium and almost in the same league as the Huawei Nova 2i but for a lower price of Php9,999, this is the one to get.

Denon Envaya DSB250BT Bluetooth Speaker

I’d say this is an almost perfect speaker for all-around use. Whether you just want to use it for low volume needs like watching a movie, listening to music while sleeping, making a phone call or on high volume needs like playing music by the pool or organizing a mini house party – Denon’s Envaya is all you need.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 (Global)

The Redmi Note 5 offers good mid-range specs like the large high-resolution screen, Snapdragon 636 chipset, great battery life, and premium build, all for just Php11,990. This is certainly not the best mid-range smartphone in the market though, as there are better devices out there if you have the budget. But if you’re looking for the best bang-for-the-buck, this is it.
