Here’s how Google celebrates 25B app downloads

Since its launch four years ago, Google’s service has reached the 25-billion mark of total app downloads with no signs of slowing down. To show their gratitude for this remarkable feat, the search giant will be bringing the price of selected apps down to $0.25 (PhP10.44) a pop.

The company didn’t mention specifically which app will have its price reduced, but we can probably expect that some popular apps from reputable app developers like Gameloft and Electronic Arts will go on sale.

The celebration/sale will kick-off starting today and is said to go on until the end of the month (or on the 1st of October, depending on where you’re reading this post). There are already a handful of apps that is on sale like the Angry Birds Space, Office Suite Pro and Asphalt 7 and you can definitely expect more as the days went on. Checkout Google Play on your device or their site every now and then to get the latest update about which apps are on sale.

Update: Day 1 of the 5-day Google Play sale has ended and here are the list of apps of which are on sale for Day 2.

1. Cut the Rope: Experiment
2. doubleTwist Alarm Clock
3. World of Goo
4. SketchBook Mobile
5. FIFA 12 by EA Sports
6. Paper Camera
7. Shark Dash
8. The Going to Bed Book-Boynton
9. Flick Nations Rugby
10. Dungeon Village
11. Mini Motor Racing
12. Color and Draw for Kids phone ed
13. Color and Draw for Kids HD

We also noticed that the apps that were on sale yesterday are already reverted back to its original price. So we assume that these apps will only go on sale for a full 24 hours and will be replaced with a new set of apps. We’ll update the post and include the apps that will be on sale tomorrow.

Sa mga wala pa, I suggest you get an Eon debit card (or any debit card na pwede online purchase), para di nakakatakot ma-hack (or biglang magbibili mga anak nyo) kasi kontrolado nyo kung magkano lang laman nya.
