January is finally over and a lot has happened even though it’s just the first month of the year. CES 2020 already concluded which gave us a peek on the new tech coming out this year. But before we get to those, let’s take a peek at the products we reviewed last month. Check out the Gadget Reviews Roundup for January 2020.

While games were playable, and productivity, social media, and simple tasks were smooth, other phones in this price range outclass the Huawei Y9s in raw performance. If you’re a hardcore gamer who’s competitive, you may want to look elsewhere. That being said, if you’re looking for a phone that looks amazing, has an immersive display, a premium body, and okay cameras, then the Huawei Y9s ticks all those boxes for PHP 13,990USD 238INR 20,210EUR 227CNY 1,736.
The Realme 5i is basically a Realme 5 but with a lower front-camera resolution, different design, and a lower price tag. Priced at PHP 6,990USD 119INR 10,098EUR 113CNY 867 with 3GB + 64GB configuration, it’s just PHP 1,000USD 17INR 1,445EUR 16CNY 124 less compared to the Realme 5 with the same configuration. Realme basically wants to further strengthen their foothold in the budget segment.
If there’s a phrase I’d use for the Huawei MateBook D 15, it’d be good enough. The display is good enough, the system’s performance is good enough to handle most workloads, there are a decent amount of ports, audio quality from the speakers is good enough, the webcam and mic are good enough for Skype calls. The battery life is also good enough for a 15.6-inch laptop. Priced at PHP 37,990USD 647INR 54,880EUR 617CNY 4,715, the Huawei MateBook D 15 offers a lot of value. It’s a jack of all trade laptop that’s easy to recommend to people who value portability.
Comparison
In conclusion, if you’re in the market for a new phone with only PHP 7,000USD 119INR 10,112EUR 114CNY 869 to spare, the Huawei Y6s is your best bet. It’s got a great design, decent cameras, with enough RAM to multitask, and enough storage to install most, if not all, of your apps and more.
