YugaTech Smart Home Devices Gift Guide 2019

For the last part of our series, we’ve listed down some smart devices for your home! Smart home devices are pretty convenient to have and can be controlled with either a tap of your fingers or your voice. Check them out!

Yeelight Lemon

The Yeelight Lemon is a smart LED bulb that can be controlled via a dedicated mobile app. Users can choose from several lighting styles. The Yeelight Lemon is also compatible with Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa, and the Mi app. A single Yeelight bulb is priced at PHP 659.

TP-Link Tapo C200 Pan/Tilt Home Security Wi-Fi Camera

If you’re in need of a security camera, you might want to check out the Tapo C200. Once installed, users can link up the Tapo C200 with the dedicated app, and then sync it up with their smartphones. The security cam has motion detection and will send alerts to your smartphone should an intruder be in your home, and users can also trigger lights and sound effects to drive away unwanted visitors. It also produces 1080p videos, has a live view, two-way audio, night view, 360-degree horizontal range, and can be shared and link with other members of the family. The TP-Link Tapo C200 comes with a price tag of PHP 999.

Google Chromecast 2

A Chromecast is a small dongle that plugs into the TV’s HDMI port, allowing users to stream TV shows, movies, games, and the like. It syncs with Apple devices, Android phones and tablets, Windows laptops, and a Chromebook. Once a device and the Chromecast are synced, the device can then be used to control the TV from anywhere, without any interruptions. The Google Chromecast 2 retails for the price of PHP 2,295.

Xiaomi Mi Box S

Currently priced at PHP 2,906, the Mix Box S is an Android TV box with Google Assistant and Chromecast built into it. Powered by Android 8.1, the Mi Box S can stream up to 4K Ultra HD content in HDR, supports Dolby + DTS audio, and is capable of streaming from platforms such as YouTube, Netflix, Spotify, and more.

TP-Link HS105 Smart WiFi Plug

A smart plug lets you turn any appliance that plugs into a wall socket into a smart one. Via a dedicated mobile app, users can control devices to switch on and off and even schedule when to power them on and off. The HS105 also has an Away Mode, letting users switch their devices to give the appearance that someone is home. The TP-Link HS105 Smart WiFi Plug is priced at PHP 2,950.

Philips Hue

Philips’ lineup of smart bulbs, Philips Hue, made its official launch in the country just recently. The bulbs can be used anywhere at home and can be customized with either an Android or Apple device. The smart bulbs are also controllable through voice activation via Alexa, Google Assistant, Siri, and the like. They can also be synced with Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube. A single Hue A60 bulb costs PHP 2,990, while a Philips Hue starter kit will set you back PHP 10,390.

JBL Link 20

The JBL Link 20 is a voice-activated portable speaker that can connect to a home’s WiFi network, allowing it to access the internet and operate with Google Assistant. It also has Chromecast built into it, wireless Bluetooth streaming, and about 10 hours of playtime. With a series of commands via Google Assistant, the Link 20 can be used to play music from Spotify, play videos from YouTube and Netflix, answer any questions, and more. JBL has priced the JBL Link 20 at PHP 12,999.

Anker EUFY ROBOVAC

Anker’s EUFY robot vacuum can clean the house, even if you’re not at home. It can be controlled via a dedicated mobile app or can be voice-activated using Alexa or Google Assistant. It has a 3-point cleaning system, has a drop-sensing technology, detects boundaries to ensure it only cleans the spaces it’s set to clean, a triple filter system, and holds a large dust box to reduce the frequency of emptying. There’s also a Find My Robot button in the app if ever the Robovac gets stuck or gets lost somewhere in your home. Anker sells the EUFY ROBOVAC for PHP 14,396.
