Grok arrives on Microsoft Word

Listen to article

xAI has officially brought its AI assistant directly into Microsoft’s word-processing platform, launching Grok for Microsoft Word.

Available as a Microsoft 365 add-in, Grok works through a docked side panel , so you can draft, edit, and revise content without having to leave your documents. It basically helps you polish grammar, simplify phrasing, shuffle notes, and rewrite sections of text, in a more humane way if you want.

Also, Grok can help standardize formatting, align terms, and normalize headings across your files for a calmer, more consistent look. Any adjustments the AI makes are added as editable revisions, which means you can check what changed, accept the updates, or undo them whenever.

The new integration is available through the Microsoft Marketplace and can be accessed from the Microsoft Word ribbon after installation.
