Google I/O 2026 happening on May 19

Google has officially announced that the schedule of its annual conference, Google I/O 2026, will take place on May 19–20.

The annual developer conference will showcase the company’s newest artificial intelligence advancements together with updates to Gemini and their upcoming features which will be available on Android, Chrome, Google Cloud, and other platfoms.The event will feature keynote speeches together with fireside chats, panel discussions, and technical presentations.

Agentic coding together with new Gemini model capabilities and Android system improvements will serve as the main topics of the presentation. Google has developed an interactive “save-the-date” experience which operates through Gemini to let users experience the upcoming conference’s creative and artificial intelligence-powered tools.

Google I/O 2026 will be held in person at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California, and streamed live at io.google starting May 19 at 10 a.m. PT. Registration is now open for those who want updates and access to livestream sessions.
