Philippine LTE speed now at 9.49Mbps

OpenSignal has released the latest LTE report for the Philippines and now pegs it at 9.49Mbps (average). This is slightly higher to the average of 8.24Mbps reported by OpenSignal last November 2017. This report covers the 4th quarter of 2017.

Singapore continues to be at the top of the list at 44.31Mbps. The Philippines ranks slightly higher and is now better compared to Indonesia (8.92Mbps) and India (6.07Mbps).

In terms of LTE availability, the Philippines has 63.73% LTE coverage which is higher than the 58.83% from the previous quarter.

For this particular report, 58,752,909,949 datapoints were collected from 4,852,320 users during the period: Oct 1st – Dec 29th 2017.

  3. Kinda agree, these news on LTE and DSL speeds are getting old now.

    If I may suggest, we should focus on the news on how we could get rid of these ridiculous data caps.


  4. Clap, clap, clap . . . Ang galing naman ng achievement natin, from 8.24Mbps to 9.49Mbps! Achievement ba yan? At ranked slightly higher na daw than Indonesia and India! Pero bulok pa rin compared to Singapore, LOL
