マザーボードメーカーのASRockはTwitterで、Intelの新しい6コアCoffee Lake CPUはZ270/170チップセットを使用したマザーボードをサポートしないことを確認しました。

今週初めに、i7-8700K、i5-8600K、i5-8400 の仕様が漏洩し、LGA 1151 ソケットを使用していると一覧化されました。このソケットは Skylake と Kaby Lake のチップでも使用されており、Z270/170 マザーボードに適合します。Intel のこの方針により、既存の Skylake/Kaby Lake プロセッサを Coffee Lake にアップグレードしたいユーザーは、全く新しいマザーボードを購入しなければならなくなります。
