We chose the phones listed as those that can deliver a decent phone experience despite the budget price; thus, we eliminated phones running on 512 megabytes of RAM except for Windows Phone devices. Likewise, we wouldn’t want to bombard this list with Cherry Mobile phones from their huge catalog, despite meeting our requirements, to be able to balance it out with other brands.

As with my experience with purchasing a CM Flare S3 here in Cebu, marami namang stocks, di lang dinidisplay. Bought mine in SM, but saw someone buying in their store in Ayala. Nice phone so far, especially the faux leather back (I’ll just pretend I have a Note 3 haha). Camera is quite good considering the price. Battery life is good in standby but drains quite fast when using wi-fi or 3G. Probably the most beautiful phone Cherry Mobile has released so far.

  4. Noir says:

Is the quality of SKK and MyPhone Rio good?

    • archie says:

Magsisi ka lang sa SKK at iba pang local brands. You might as well add a few peso para sa mga manufacturers na subok na.

    • Noir says:

Local brands Cloudfone subok na sa 3 units ko.

Not sure sa Myphone and SKK kaya ako nagtatanong.

      Cherry ang NOPE ko

    • Carl Lamiel says:

Purchased a Myphone (A888) September last year, and again bought the same unit this May (now my primary phone). I’m not endorsing, pero okay naman siya; kaso ramdam ko lang yung phone na umiinit pag nagccharge. Battery life lang complain ko, but it’s not an issue for me since I have powerbanks. The 512MB ram sucks though. Super laggy.

  5. Don Lim says:

You mentioned that you didn’t include phones in 512 mb ram. But why did you include the CM Alpha Style then?

    • Carl Lamiel says:

As I said, I exempted Windows Phones because those with 512MB RAM would still work fluidly and is enough for a great phone experience. Some apps might be incompatible because of hardware requirements, but it doesn’t mean that the experience would deteriorate. If there are apps that are incompatible with 512MB Ram Windows versions, it would be a very small percentage in the Windows Store.

  6. jared says:

Sir your forgot to mention the Cherry Mobile Alpha Luxe. Only costing 4,999.

    • Josh says:

Yup. CM Alpha Luxe is under 4999 and I’m planning to buy one on December hopefully it would fall for 4k downwards. But still, I think it would be the best WP made for CM under that price tag.

  9. scorpion says:

Isama mo na ang starmobile quest na PhP 4990 na lang. Nakakainis lang bumili ako nito last month, PhP 5490 pa.

  10. archie says:

Nokia at Asus Zenfone 4 lang ang reliable sa list na ito. The rest are mass produced lemon products by Chinese OEMs. Not worth the money.

  11. vino says:

+ kata ph phones, decent specs

    • archie says:

Poor manufacturing din ang Kata. Isang buwan iba na kulay ng display ng sa kapatid ko. Pati power button parang matatanggal na kaagad. Dami pang palusot at plus charges pag ipapagawa mo.

Cherry Mobile Alpha Luxe and Alpha Style isn’t just cheap Cherry Mobile phones..

Unlike other cheap local/rebranded android phones, these cheap Windows Phones are manufactured by Micromax in India.. And they are a decent company with decent quality..

Plus, in Windows Phone, no matter how cheap you are using, there will always be an update for you, unlike those cheap Android Phone.. Youbare either stuck on default OS or rely on 3rd party rom cooker..

  26. Criss Marquez says:

Starmobile up or up+ should be here.. kailangan mung iconsider yan dude.. halimaw sa specs yan for just under 5k..
