Facebook’s news feed on mobile gets redesigned

Facebook has redesigned News Feed on its mobile app so it’ll be more conversational and easier for users to navigate.

There weren’t any dramatic changes made, but it’s apparent that Facebook’s new design sports a more minimalistic approach. They get rid of the blue status bar, and comments are now placed inside a bubble.

Aside from that, Facebook has increased color contrast so that typography is more legible, provided larger link previews so it’s more readable, updated icons, larger Like, Comment, Share buttons, and of course, just like Twitter, it will adopt the circular profile picture.

Also, the redesigned version will allow you to see where a link will take you before clicking on it, and see whose post you’re commenting on, reacting to, or reading while you’re in the post. It features a more prominent back button so you can return to News Feed easily.

The redesigned update is expected to roll out in the coming weeks.
