GCash, an online wallet platform, is now offering free bank funds transfers to more than thirty banks.

With the new feature, users can now transfer funds from their GCash wallet to banks such as BPI, BDO, and Metrobank free of charge. All they need is an account name, the account number of the receiver, and internet connectivity.

“GCash now allows customers to enjoy the freedom of being able to transfer funds conveniently with just their smartphone. We are happy to be part of Instapay. InstaPay is an initiative led by the BSP under the National Retail Payments System framework, whose goal is to increase digital transactions in the country to 20 percent by 2020,” said Anthony Thomas, President and CEO of Mynt.

To access this feature, users must first download the GCash app from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store then sign up for an account.

To fund their GCash account, a user can cash-in via local Mastercard or VISA debit cards, InstaPay from bank apps that have the service available, and direct bank deposits with preferred banks. They can also visit over 16,000 GCash Partner Outlets nationwide, like 7-Eleven, SM Business Centers, Robinsons Business Centers, Puregold branches, and Villarica Pawnshop branches, and tell the cashier to cash-in to their GCash account. Cashing-in to a GCash account is free.

Magkano limit? Nagtransfer kasi ako ng 9,000 from landbank to gcash then gcash to BDO. Mabilis magreflect. same time lang sa akin. kaso after nun, error na. magrefresh kaya un kinabukasan?

Tried from Security bank to gcash, at hindi siya pumasok. 15 hours na mahigit at wala pa rin. No text or confirmation akong nareceive, pero ang security bank ko, bawas na. nasa 20k pa man din un. :(
I’ll call today sa SB, or gcash kung saan nagkaproblema, sabado pa man din, pero sana maibalik ung pera ko.

Yang bank transfer ng Gcash ang wag nyo gagamitin at minsan bugok ang system nila hindi nagrereflect yung money transfer then turuan na sila. Basta pera na medyo kalakihan diretso banko na kayo. Bill payments ok ang Gcash pero Bank Transfer saka ung Gcash Invest Money naku po! hindi na.

It works. Just make it sure all details are correct: account holder, account name and the amount you’re sending. Gcash would also show you receipt after a successful transaction so you can screenshot it. And if you have indicated an email address, the transaction receipt would also be sent there. Keep the receipt, just like any bank deposit slip, just in case of any issues later on.

Transfer Metrobank to Gcash, nag confirm si Metrobank with reference number pero walang pera na natransfer sa gcash. And Sabi ni Gcash wala daw sa system nila na nagsend si gcash, nag file kami dispute. At ang sabi ni Metrobank di nila alam saan na transfer kalokohon pina fifile din kami dispute.

I tried from my PBCom bank accouont (payroll) I transfer to my Gcash Acct. and from my Gcash account to my other bank Account it is easy , but make sure your account number is correct cause it will not prompt if your name and account number in bank is match to the one you type.After I send from my gcash account a 25k to my bank account I cant send anymore..
maybe the limit is only 25k

i was able to transfer to security bank, rcbc savings(family), and bpi without problem.. at first i thought that rcbc is still not supported, since it was error-ing out during my few initial attempt.. but after a few days, i tried again, and it works flawlessly.
now my only problem is gcash says I already exceed my limit, but if i compute the cash ins, i have not yet exceeded my 100k a month limit.. or is this both in and out? if yes, then, I believe i have not yet reached my limit. so medyo nagtataka ako dun sa part na yun, anyway, since primary purpose ko now is to transfer from bpi(payroll) to gcash, then to gcash to both security and rcbc.. i think im ok for now.

It works. Cashed in from bpi to gcash then sent fund from gcash to bpi and psbank. Nag reflect ang transferred amount few minutes later. No success transferring from gcash to sterling bank though, tried 4x but lage umuuwi ang funds sa gcash ko. Tsk
