Google implements video previews in mobile search

Google starts implementing video previews in its mobile search on Android devices.

Aside from the text previews that users have been seeing when searching for live scores on NBA matches, they can now be able to preview videos before clicking on it.

Google will be leaving its static image thumbnails upon showing video results from their search engine. Their goal is to give users an idea on the contents of the video they’re about to watch. By default, the video previews will only load on a wifi connection but users can choose to enable it even when using mobile data.

The implementation already started and will be widely out by next week. The new feature is available on the Google and Chrome app (Android users only).
